Modus Group awarded for its investments in Poland
Embassy of the Republic of Poland to Lithuania awarded Modus Group for its investments in solar energy development in Poland. The prize to Modus Group was granted during the annual event “Polish Business Awards 2019”, where the most important Lithuanian and Polish business events that are strengthening the countries mutual economic relations are recognized.
The event was held at the Embassy. The award to Modus Group was granted by Urszula Doroszewska, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Lithuania, and Marius Skuodis, Vice-Minister of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania.
“This acknowledgement is very important for Modus Group. We are proud to be one of the biggest solar energy developers in Poland. A few months ago, we have also announced our plans to expand biogas activities and start operations in Poland. We see the country as a strategic market, where we are planning to maintain fast pace of growth, contributing to the development of renewable energy sector. In this way, we will reduce CO2 emissions and contribute to the implementation of the circular economy principles in Poland,” says Liudas Liutkevičius, the Chairman of the Modus Group Board.
Currently, Modus Group is installing new solar power parks with a total capacity of 41 megawatts (MW) in Poland. The investment to the project reaches approximately EUR 36 million. Also, the company has announced to develop biogas activities and starting operations in Poland. The plans for 2020 are to develop biogas projects with a total capacity of 5 MW. The plants are scheduled to start operations in 2021.
